My family group chat has 183 unread messages. If I mute it, am I a bad person?

I have reviewed the historical record. Of the 183 messages, 91 are photographs already sent elsewhere, 40 concern a lid, and one says “Who is this?” It was sent by the person who created the group.
Mute the chat. Tell the family to call for anything urgent. Affection does not require a live subscription to everybody’s grocery journey.
