The court’s oracle has a gift for exact predictions delivered in language nobody finds useful until afterward. He foretold the bread shortage in a dialect understood by three frogs. His age is unrecorded: each attempt to ask produces an answer about the moon. The three portraits are undated archival likenesses, not a verified chronology. Willowfeather has marked this distinction six times.

The hat appears in all three paintings. It may be older than he is.
