The reigning household

Lady Seraphina Downquill

The Golden Muse

Her diplomacy has an orchestra pit.

A celebrated artist, royal consort and Belladonna’s mother in this expanded register. Seraphina’s marriage to Aurelius united households, but she kept her own name, work and formidable artistic authority. She once made a goose king cry through ballet; Honorius Honk’s immunity to the same technique remains a personal affront. Her daughter inherited the discipline of dance and the difficult habit of appearing effortless.

The ruby at her throat was a gift. The room’s attention was earned.
